Assistant Agent/ Certificate of Registration Real Estate for NSW

The Assistant Agent course is essential for anyone in NSW looking to be employed in the property services industry. By completing this course, you will gain an introductory understanding of all aspects of working in the real estate industry, including an understanding of both sales and property management, as well as learning communication techniques and strategies that will assist you in getting off to a successful start in your new role.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will be issued with a “Statement of Attainment” outlining the required units of competency which is a part of the nationally recognised Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice.

To maintain the professional standards, all Real Estate Certificate Of Registration holders need to transition to a class 2 licence holder within a 4 year period by completing the CPPREP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice.

Each year an Assistant Agent must complete a minimum of 3 units of competency from the Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice allied to their Continuing Professional Development requirements, the completion for this is between 23rd March and the 22nd March the following year.

  4. CPPREP4004 - Establish marketing and communication profiles in real estate

  5. CPPREP4005 – Prepare to work with real estate accounts

The minimum expected time for completion is approximately three months and the maximum course completion time allowed from enrolment is eighteen months. (Note course completion times may vary depending on many factors such as workshop tutorial attendance, the amount of time set aside for self-paced study or the amount of RPL granted).
