CPPREP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice for VIC
(Formerly known as the Agents Representative Certificate )

If you want to work in the real estate industry, you’ll need to complete the Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice Victoria (CPP41419). This is the new educational requirement, prescribed by the Business Licensing Authority, to work as an agent’s representative.


As an agent’s representative, you can work in sales, leasing and property management as well as admin and reception. However, you will not be able to open your own real estate agency with this qualification.

There are 18 units in the Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice Victoria (CPP41419) course.

To apply for a Certificate 4 in Real Estate Victoria, you’ll need to successfully complete 18 of the following units

 

Core units

  1. CPPREP4001 - Prepare for professional practice in real estate

  2. CPPREP4002 - Access and interpret ethical practice in real estate

  3. CPPREP4003 - Access and interpret legislation in real estate

  4. CPPREP4004 - Establish marketing and communication profiles in real estate

  5. CPPREP4005 - Prepare to work with real estate trust accounts

Residential Property Sales  

  1. CPPREP4101 - Appraise property for sale or lease

  2. CPPREP4102 - Market property

  3. CPPREP4103 - Establish vendor relationships

  4. CPPREP4104 - Establish buyer relationships

  5. CPPREP4105 - Sell property

 

Residential Property Management  

  1. CPPREP4101 - Appraise property for sale or lease

  2. CPPREP4102 - Market property

  3. CPPREP4121 - Establish landlord relationships

  4. CPPREP4122 - Manage tenant relationships

  5. CPPREP4123 - Manage tenancy

  6. CPPREP4124 - End tenancy

  7. CPPREP4125 - Transact in trust accounts

 

Elective Units  

  1. CPPREP4161 - Undertake pre-auction processes

  2. CPPREP4162 - Conduct and complete sale by auction

  3. CPPREP4163 - Complete post-auction process and contract execution

The minimum expected time for completion is approximately three months and the maximum course completion time allowed from enrolment is eighteen months. (Note course completion times may vary depending on many factors such as workshop tutorial attendance, the amount of time set aside for self-paced study or the amount of RPL granted).
